Becoming an Exchange member is about partnering with a respected and successful business team that relies on the support and expertise of its members to make a significant and positive difference on issues that matter. As the premier port advocate for the regional Delaware River community, we work with our members to protect and promote the area’s tristate ports. The Maritime Exchange welcomes members who support its mission, goals, and objectives, and we invite you to take full advantage of the available benefits and services. Take a moment to explore the opportunities we offer and join the nearly 300 businesses that already enjoy these membership benefits.
The Exchange’s government affairs program connects you to local and federal congressional members, regulators, policymakers, and other industry members concerned with transportation issues such as trade and quota, maritime security, inspections, automation, navigational safety, the environment, and dredging.
Through a membership in the Exchange, you lend your voice to a strong coalition that helps promote and protect the vitality of the Delaware River region. With members acting as one voice, we influence policymakers and our federal agency partners to maintain a positive operating climate and keep our port competitive.
Complementing our government affairs and online services, the Exchange keeps its members informed through a variety of publications and alerts.
Since the late 1800s, the Exchange has been recording commercial cargo ship movements on the Delaware River and disseminating that information to its members. This information is shared among private and public agencies to facilitate vessel and cargo processing. Today, the Exchange serves as the electronic communications hub for all Delaware River and Bay port-centric information. Supported by an experienced staff 24/7/365, Maritime On-Line provides:
In addition to information sharing among transportation and logistics chain partners, Maritime On-Line allows subscribers to comply with CBP’s 24-hour rule and 10+2 requirements, stow plan filing obligations, the Coast Guard’s 96-hour advanced notice of arrival and departure regulations, and other electronic filing mandates. System users provide the operational expertise necessary to ensure Maritime On-Line meets both government requirements and business needs.
Exchange committees provide a needed forum for members to meet, exchange ideas, solve problems, and provide direction to the Exchange on those issues that matter most. Members meet directly with government officials, business partners, and even competitors to discuss and resolve matters of importance. Together, we tackle critical topics and make a difference. Join the Exchange team and become an active member in any of our committees.
