Maritime On-Line®

Since the late 1800s, the Exchange has been recording commercial cargo ship movements on the Delaware River and disseminating that information to its members. This information is shared among private and public agencies to facilitate vessel and cargo processing. Today, the Exchange serves as the electronic communications hub for all Delaware River and Bay port-centric information. Supported by an experienced staff 24/7/365, Maritime On-Line provides:

  • Ship Reporting:  Detailed vessel arrival and movement information
  • TRACS:  Automated Customs and Border Protection cargo clearances
  • NOA/D On-Line:  Coast Guard electronic vessel notice of arrival/departure and crew list submission tools
  • AIS:  Real-time vessel positions

In addition to information sharing among transportation and logistics chain partners, Maritime On-Line allows subscribers to comply with CBP’s 24-hour rule and 10+2 requirements, stow plan filing obligations, the Coast Guard’s 96-hour advanced notice of arrival and departure regulations, and other electronic filing mandates. System users provide the operational expertise necessary to ensure Maritime On-Line meets both government requirements and business needs.

Committees

Exchange committees provide a needed forum for members to meet, exchange ideas, solve problems, and provide direction to the Exchange on those issues that matter most. Members meet directly with government officials, business partners, and even competitors to discuss and resolve matters of importance. Together, we tackle critical topics and make a difference. Join the Exchange team and become an active member in any of our committees.

How did you hear about the Maritime Exchange?*

Unsung Hero Awards Nomination Period Open

1/17/18 – 2/14/18

As announced in the fall 2017 issue of The Beacon, the Maritime Exchange has developed a new member-benefit program to honor the unsung heros in our industry — those who toil behind the scenes to facilitate ships, cargos, and crews everyday but whose efforts go largely unrecognized.

The nomination period is now open for the first group of potential candidates! Submissions are due by Wednesday, February 14.

The program is designed to allow you, as Exchange members, to shine a well-deserved spotlight on someone in the shadows who is making a marked contribution. It’s your opportunity to acknowledge individuals who work hard every day to make our port more competitive, safer, more secure, and more environmentally healthy.

Program Guidelines

Who is eligible?* Any employee or volunteer within any Maritime Exchange member company is eligible for nomination. Selection criteria include:

  • Individual is responsible for a proven achievement within his/her organization (e.g., new product or process that gains customers, saves money, etc. or development of a “best practice”);
  • Individual is an “up and comer” with a demonstrable fresh approach to service in the maritime industry; and/or
  • Individual has served his/her organization with extraordinary dedication and distinction over a period of time.

* Those who have received previous port awards (for example, Seafarer’s Friend, Spirit of the Port, Friend of Chile, Maritime Society or World Trade Association “people of the year”) are NOT eligible for this award.

Who may submit nominations? Primary representatives of Exchange corporate member companies are welcome to submit nominations. Each member company is entitled to submit one nomination per award cycle. If you don’t know the primary representative for your company, you can look it up here.

How to Participate. Sponsors must download and complete a one-page nomination form and email the completed form to hero@maritimedelriv.com by February 14, 2018.

The Award. The sponsor, recipient, and his or her guest(s) will be invited to a luncheon with the Maritime Exchange board of directors for an award presentation ceremony. Each recipient will be featured in a profile article in the Exchange newsletter, The Beacon.

Contact. Members with questions or who are unable to download the form or send it back via email should contact Beverly Ford at 267-670-7946 or bford@maritimedelriv.com.

The Maritime Exchange looks forward to joining its members in this celebration of Delaware River port community unsung heros!

Good luck!
