Port Business Operations Committee
The Port Business Operations Sub-Committee (PBO) is a sub-committee of the Area Maritime Security Committee (AMSC) for USCG Sector Delaware Bay (see AMSC Charter under PBO Documents).
The PBO works to address security issues that specifically affect vessel, cargo and crew operations within the tri-state Delaware River port complex.
Committee membership includes (but is not limited to):
• break bulk, general cargo, container and bulk terminal operators
• ship repair and dry dock facility operators
• railroad industry representatives
• ship agents
• pilots’ associations
• dockworker and maritime union representatives
• trucking industry representatives
• seafarer advocacy organizations
• Maritime Exchange representatives
• port facility landlords (i.e. DSPC, PRPA, SJPC, etc.)
• deep draft, towing and small passenger vessel operators
• recreational boating and marina representatives
