NOA/D On-Line provides the shipping community with an automated tool to submit advanced vessel arrival and departure notices, including crew list information, to those federal agencies which require the information. Through a single and standardized web interface, the steamship community has the capability to submit notice of arrivals and departures to the U.S. Coast Guard National Vessel Movement Center and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. It also tracks these notices electronically and provides the ability to respond to senders with confirmations and other necessary information.

The system is designed to provide assistance to those vessels that cannot comply with the new eNOA/D requirements directly through the National Vessel Movement Center Online or Offline interfaces. Building upon previous submission methods, NOA/D On-Line provides a mechanism for vessels and their landside partners to submit the required notice of arrival and departure information in an XML format via a combination of MS Excel Spreadsheet and web site review.

Vessels can submit NOA/Ds via an Excel spreadsheet to their landside partner for submission to NOA/D On-Line. NOA/D On-Line makes the data submitted available to the steamship community via web interface for review and submission. Once validated by the steamship agent community, the XML data is transmitted to the NVMC.
