Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation & Enforcement (BOEMRE)
The Department of the Interior’s (DOI), Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE), is the federal agency responsible for overseeing the safe and environmentally responsible development of energy and mineral resources on the Outer Continental Shelf.
The Maritime Exchange is supportive of renewable energy initiatives and applauds and encourages BOEMRE in its efforts to engage with regional public and private sector maritime stakeholders as it considers new policies and seeks to implement the potential leasing for wind power in the Renewable Energy Framework area.
